A monitoring tool should take worries off your plate, not add to them. If turning on the first check requires a manual, software installed on the server, and half a day lost figuring out the options, it isn't built for someone who doesn't work with this kind of tool every day. You don't need to be technical to monitor a site properly.

What that means in practice

There's no software to install: just give it the address to check. As you pick the monitor type, HTTP, TCP, ping or heartbeat, the interface shows an explanation of what it does and when it's the right fit, not a list of technical acronyms. The rest of the form has few fields, with values already set sensibly for most sites: the check interval and alert thresholds stay adjustable later, but they're never a requirement to get started.

In practice

A professional running their own site solo, with no technical team behind them, opens Etizei for the first time and has their first monitor live within minutes: an address, a name, a type chosen after reading the on-screen explanation.
